Toddle Waddle

We raised £372.43 for Barnardo’s. Thank you to everyone who donated. All of the children had lots of fun taking part and raising awareness of this worthy cause.

We would like to thank you all for a wonderful year.  It has truly been a pleasure to be part of your child’s learning journey through Nursery and we wish them all the best for Reception!  We’ve had the privilege of getting to know them and watch them grow this year.  We will miss them tremendously.

We would also like to say a massive thank you for all your kind messages and generous gifts – we feel very lucky indeed. We hope you all have a lovely holiday.

Love the Nursery Team.

Your child’s learning journey

We hope you have enjoyed looking at your child’s learning journey. It is amazing to see the progress they have made since the start of the year! Please let us know if you have trouble accessing it.

Thank you for all of the contributions we have received towards school fund this year.  Nursery have put our school fund towards the EarthSong Workshop this week and the children had a fabulous time!   They  had the opportunity to play a wide range of instruments including shakers, drums, bells and a Kora (African Harp). They played a range of rhythm games and explored playing  loud, quiet, fast and slow. The presenter played a Yidakis and explained it is made from a fallen branch and is hollow because insects eat through it. The children also used props to help tell a West African story about a fisherman who caught  fish to feed the crocodile to keep everyone safe.

Sports Day

It was lovely to see so many of you on Wednesday supporting the children. I am sure you agree they were fantastic. Well done Nursery… we were really proud of them.

Green Fingered Kids Voucher Scheme – Woodcote Garden Centre

Green Fingered Kids is a home-grown initiative, now in its 14th year, which seeks to encourage children within the local area to pick up their gardening gloves and step outside!
This initiative works through a voucher scheme, that runs during the Spring, in which customers can collect vouchers from their in-store purchases (25p for every £10 spent) and donate these to local schools and youth groups who are signed up to the Green Fingered Kids initiative. These vouchers are then claimed back and can be spent in-store on products which benefits the children’s gardening experience.
Woodcote Garden Centre are proud to run this scheme as not only does it encourage children to step outside and begin gardening but schools, and youth groups, have used the money to help create interactive lessons to teach kids about the importance of the environment, healthy eating and the natural life cycle. Please give the vouchers to your child’s teacher. Happy collecting!

Just a quick reminder that it is Toddle Waddle on Friday. We are raising money for Barnardo’s Trust.

We would like to ask you and your family and friends to sponsor the children to walk around the field 5 times.

The children can come dressed in their own clothes , or coming wearing an animal mask or costume for a contribution of £1.

It is always a really fun event and thank you for your support in raising awareness and money for this worthy cause.
